PROCESS
The answer to every individual's life questions and dilemmas lie within the person. The goal of therapy, therefore, is to
educate, support and guide the client to attain and preserve emotional clarity as well as a healthy sense of relational well-being.
Following a brief introductory exchange, the first session usually
entails discussing general information about the client's history:
physical and emotional symptoms, lifestyle and past experiences with
the presenting problem. Based on the information that is given throughout
ongoing therapy sessions, the client's treatment will include a variety
of therapeutic methods such as completing assessments for family-of-origin
issues and/or trauma issues, bibliotherapy (reading assigned books
and articles), cognitive-behavior techniques, art therapy, journaling,
etc.
